toto... he likes to take bath in the pot where grandmother use to boil water
since he fells comfortable n warm he doesnt like kming out frm the pot an as as the water was bkming hot he would boil himself but garndmother took him out

Grandmother would warm the water in a large bowl for his bath. He would cunningly test the temperature with his hand, gradually step into the bath, first one foot, then the other until he was into the water up to his neck. Then he would take the soap and rub himself all over.
He has learnt this from the narrator (Ruskin Bond)
A large kitchen kettle had been left on the fire to boil for tea and Toto decided to remove the lid. Finding the water just warm enough for a bath, he got in with his head sticking out from the open kettle. This was fine until the water began to boil. Toto then raised himself a little, but finding it cold outside, he sat down again. Then Grandmother arrived and took him out, half-boiled.
