Toto took a bath, by first putting one leg in the tub for checking the temperature and then he went all inside.

He learnt this from the author itself. Once, a big kettle was placed on fire in order to boil.water for tea and Toto thought that the water was for his bath, and so he put off the lid of the kettle and sat inside until, grandmother pulled Toto out.
