water evaporates continuously from the mesophyll cells of the leaf creating a negative pull. ... This water channel is held together by cohesion force (force of attraction between water molecule).

Answer:

When water is lost through transpiration there is a suction pull due to the low pressure in the plant, this force pulls the waters and minerals along with it. It is similar to when someone drinks juice from straws. The low pressure in the mouth forces the juice to come up the channel. Mark me as the best.
