how does transpiration help the roots absorb water and minerals from the soil? ​

the definition of transpiration is the loss of water through aerial ( leaves,stem flower etc.) parts of plant.

therefore when this loss takes place then there is a decrease or negative pressure which causes pull of sap(water and mineral) in plant. the uptake of water in day time is mainly govern by transpiration pull. transpiration pull is the process by which the water is taken upward by the plant.

this is very simple answer .
