how does using trains as transport (compared to the use of bus) conserve more fuel?

Train conserves more fuel than bus because mostly the train need coal not fuel very much instead of that bus cannot fuel and in train many passenger can travel at a time but in bus it's not so and it emits lot of smoke also in the atmosphere. That's how.....

As we all know that a train takes more than 10 times to reach a destination while bus takes 40-50 persons at a time. So it is obvious that train conserves more fuel than bus.
