How does valency vary in group on going from top to buttom?

1)VALENCY:-

ALONG THE GROUP...

Valency along the group remains same while
going from top to bottom.

This is because the valence electrons remain
same only the shells increase..

For eg..Li,K,Na all are in group 1rst..All have valency 1
