Water pollution affects the aquatic life in many ways.Water pollution affects aquatic life by killing and disrupting the food chain.

Industrial waste contains many toxic compounds that damage the health of aquatic animals. The presence of toxic or other pollutants in water can also affect the aquatic life. Polluting chemicals such as sewage are dumped into oceans and seas etc.and animals depend upon them like fish and crabs etc may die. This is because animals could be affected by the deseases caused by them.pollutants like lead and cadmium are also consumed by the small animals.
