The weight, of an object is given by W = m g where is the object's mass and is the acceleration due to gravity. The value of is not constant over the earth's surface. It changes because of local variations in the density of the rocks and soil and because the earth bulges out at the equator more than at the poles.

Answer:
✴The weight of a body is not the same at all places on the earth.
✴It is maximum at the poles and minimum at the equator because the gravitational pull of the Earth is maximum at the poles and minimum at the equator, i.e, the value of acceleration due to gravity is maximum at the poles and minimum at the equator .
✴Thus, we see that the weight of a body depends on the value of 'g'
➡️ g = accelaration due to gravity
