how does wool fibre keep the sheep body warm​

Wool creates a layer of air between the body and the cloth. As we know that air is a bad conductor of heat and acts as a insulator therefore the heat escaping from a body gets trapped within the woolen cloth and keeps us warm. so basically it prevents the loss of heat from a body by trapping it
