adrenaline is only released in the panic situation it acts as per the situation in front of the individual for example if a snake is in front of u then adrenaline will go to the heart and make heart pump fast in order to make oxygen available to legs to run and for a moment the digestive system will b made to stop it's process, etc.

The breathing rate also increases because of the contractions of diaphragm and the rib muscles. It also raises the blood pressure, and allows more glucose to enter into the blood. All these responses together enable our body to deal with the emergency situations.
