1. Both zygote and zoospore is diploid (2n). This is because zygote is formed by the fusion of sperm (n) and egg (n). Both haploid sperm and egg produce diploid zygote. Zoospores are created by the mitotic division of diploid sporangia.

2. The difference between the offspring produced by sexual and asexual reproduction are

Sexual reproduction

Asexual reproduction

1 Offspring show variation. (Sexual)

1 Offspring are genetically identical to the parents. (Asexual)

2 Hereditary materials of the offspring are the mixture of mother and father. (Sexual)

2 No mixing of hereditary materials take place. (Asexual)

3. Bryophyllum gives rise to the adventitious buds from the edges of leaves which eventually give rise to new plants. This characteristic property of Bryophyllum is exploited by the gardeners and farmers for the commercial propagation of the plant.
