Deserts have a shortage of water normally, so in case of a drought, water will be unavailable to most, and this may cause death.

Due to drought, people living in desert will not become able to grow crops or irrigate the crops, which is their main source of income, affecting them severely as due to unavailability of water they will have no money to migrate to city or to purchase food material which will the cause of their death
