2. Thier excreta gets mixed with soil which increases nitrogen content of the soil and it becomes fertile
3. Earthworm are burrowing animals which makes the soil porous and due to this Oxygen can reach deeper in the soil, thus soil gets aerated
4. Due to this, fertility and productivity of soil increases, hence, it is called 'FRIEND OF FARMERS'.

Earthworms are farmers friends because they help to fertile the soil as well as make holes for air to enter in the soil
