Elections are held every 5 years. The election process in India is headed by the election commission. The head of the commission is the chief election commissioner elected by the president of India. After appointment he is not answerable to the president. Government employees are also evolved into the election process but they work under the election commission not the government. Evms or ballot are used which contain the name of the candidate along with the party symbol. All Evms are then taken to a place and then opened together on a particular day. If the election commission things that election in a place were not fair then the can announce re elections.
