mexico has presidential form of government , therefore the elections are held directly for the president wheras in India , we have parliamentary form of government , therefore the elections are held indirectly for the president and directly for the members of parliament and state legislatures.
in mexico , elections are held after every 6 years whereas in india , elections are held after every 5 years.
in mexico , president has real powers whereas in india , prime minister is the real head.

- In Mexico only one party rules i.e. PRI but in india multiple parties are there.
- In Mexico people have no choice other than PRI but in India choices are offered for different parties to select from.
- In Mexico people are forced to vote for PRI but in India voting is dependent on the choice of people.
- In Mexico no regular elections were there but in India elections held after every five years.
- In Mexico unfair elections but in India free and fair elections.
