How electric resistance is used in an electric bulb?

So, a bulb has a Tungsten filament through which current is passes, due to its high resistance, heat is produced and it starts glowing. This is howresistance is used in an Electric Bulb.

As the current passes through the resistance the electrons collide with the atoms of resistor and cause to vibrate which provides energy for atoms to excite . And as electrons from excited state come back to ground level they emit energy which is the source of light in bulbs.
