how ethanol is converted to propanol-2

For this conversion there are two steps are involved which are, Step 1 : When ethanol react with PCC in presence of then it gives ethanal as a product. Step 2 : When ethanal react with Grignard reagent in acidic medium then it gives 2-propanol as a product.
