Given ,

initial velocity = 0

Acceleration = 3.0m/s

Time = 8.0s

Now,

V = u + at

= 0 + 3.0 × 8.0

= 0 + 24

= 24m

s \:  = ut +  \frac{1}{2}  {at}^{2}

 \:  \:  =  > 0 \times 8 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 3.0 \times  {8}^{2}  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{2} \times 3.0 \times 64   \\  =  > 3 \times 32 \\  =  > 96m

Hence, The boat travels 96m during this time.
