The main objectives of saarc are promotions of economic growth,social progress and cultural development through mutual cooperation.In order to fulfill these objectives a number of technical standing as well ad Action committees have been established.A number of seminars and workshops,training programmes have been jointly sponsored by the member states in all the fields of science ,technology,agriculture etc.Its head quarter is in Nepal.
