There are many people who live in and near India’s forest lands, but have no right to their homes and lands . In India, more than 125 villages have been burned to the ground.The Indian Forest Act, India's  forest lawhad nothing to do with conservation. Government officials have all power over forest. This Act recognizes forest dwellers’ rights and makes conservation more accountable. Under the Indian Forest Act, areas were often declared to be “government forests” without recording who lived in these areas what uses they made of the forest and so on...

Villagers had to face a lot of problems because of the act passed by the Britishers..

As earlier the villagers collected the goods from forests and sold it and earned the money.

Villagers were also banned to use forests for their daily needs if living..
