- An underdeveloped economy will primarily be an agricuturally dominant country. It tells that maximum workforce is employed in agriculture sector and there is low level of development in manufacturing and service sector. For e.g. India under British rule
- A developing economy will have its population employed majorly in agriculture sector but is also showing growth in its manufacturing and service sector.
- A developed economy will have maximum of its population employed in service sector and manufacturing sector
