The lord Curzon was the Governor General of India from 1899 to 1905. Fallowing are his reactionary policies which were responsible for growth of militant or assertive nationalism in India.

1.  Partition of Bengal was the major cause responsible for growth of assertive nationalism.

2.  Official Secrets Act 1904 which curtailed the freedom of press and the movement of nationalists was another repressive policy of Curzon.

3.  Calcutta University Act 1904 imposed official over universities and thus the freedom of universities was curtailed.

4.  The Calcutta Corporation act 1899 was another exploitative tool which reduced the size of Indians in corporations.

So in short the repressive and exploitative policies of Curzon boosted the growth of assertive nationalism in India.
