he totally crubed the power of the nobles between 1719-1748. he abolished the authority of the sayyid brothers. he won over the conspiracies hatched by the nobles who dominated most amongst the courtyers. he tried to bring back the glory of the lost mughals .although he was not succesful in doing that as he reign was affected spontaneously by invasions as nadir shah, the shah of persia.
thus because of his wise mind and thoughtful nature as well as his dominance over his reign crystal clearly denotes that he was not amongst the past generation kings after alamgir ll as they were mere the puppets of the nobles. since they were weak and had a very shallow knowledge of governence.,paved way for the nobles to be the supreme power. but the reign of muhammad shah was a milestone for the improvement of the detoriating status of the mughals which had once ruled the whole indian subcontinent but now was confined to a small state.
therefore he was amongst one of the golden age kings who was sucessful in crubbing the power of nobility rather to be their puppet.
