How far was underground railway able to solve transport problems as well as housing crisis in London in 19th century

railways are considered as one of the biggest project which need vast amount of land and set ups. When we make them go underground , we save a lot of things which we could have posssibly lost when they were above the ground. We can save more amount of land where buildings, agriculture and all could be done. Near railways, we will be facing large amount of sound pollution which hinders the residency near by. Underground railways avoid this risk. The rate of accidents caused by trains could be solved. Traffic blocks will be reduced since vehicles dont have to wait for the train to cross
