Answer:

0.125 km

Explanation:

Given that ,

How far will a swimmer travel in 3.0 min if her speed is 2.5 km/hr?

So,

speed of the swimmer = 2.5 km/h

time given = 3 min ( convert it in same unit to solve the problem )

60 min = 1 hour

1 min = \frac{1}{60} ~hours

3 min = \frac{3}{60}~hours

3 min = \frac{1}{20} ~ hours

Now the distance travel by the swimmer = speed × time

                                                                   = 2.5 × \frac{1}{20}

                                                                   = \frac{2.5}{20}

                                                                   = \frac{25}{200}

                                                                   = \frac{1}{8} km

                                                                  = 0.125 km

1 km = 1000m

0.125 km = 0.125 × 1000

              = 125 m
