Fats are present in the form of large globules in the small intestine. The small intestine receives the secretions from the liver and the pancreas. The bike salts break down the large fat globules into smaller globules so that the pancreatic enzyme lipase can easily act on them. This process is called emulsification. this process takes place in small intestine.

Small intestine

The majority of fat digestion happens once it reaches the small intestine. This is also where the majority of nutrients are absorbed. Your pancreas produces enzymes that break down fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Your liver produces bile that helps you digest fats and certain vitamins.
