Force is proportional to the acceleration (change of velocity of a body ) where mass of the body is constant . So F is proportional to Acceleration(a) where Mass(m) is constant .
i.e. F=ma

GeniusBoy: Note: SI unit of F is Newton , m is Kg and a is m/sec.²
