Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think ‘whatever’ one wants but this ‘whatever’ is a dynamic word. Everyone might have their own definition of freedom. For me, Freedom is simply an opportunity to find a definition for myself, a true, authentic individuality, and a joy in making the world around me a little better, a little more beautiful - a few more roses, a little more greenery and a few more oases.
Knowing that we have this great potential, we naturally aspire to freedom. Freedom is an amazing thing, but as with most amazing things, too much of it can be more than you bargained for. Especially, if you’re not prepared to handle it. So, freedom brings responsibility.
Responsibility simply means: Ability to respond; but to what? To one’s own self. If I have the freedom to think, it is my responsibility to think positively. If I have the freedom to speak, it is my responsibility to speak properly and meaningfully. If I have the freedom to act, it is my responsibility to act correctly. Nobody else can take that decision for me. It is my responsibility.
Many People are really in deep fear of freedom, surprised? But that’s true. Although they talk about freedom but very few of them really want freedom; because they are subconsciously aware that freedom will bring many problems that they are not ready to face. It is better to remain in cozy imprisonment.
But what if the case is you have freedom. But you haven’t fulfilled your responsibilities. Failures seem not so down. Sadness lingers around you. You are absolutely capable of removing this sadness. If you are capable of destroying your slavery, your chains and if you are capable of being creative.
So, Freedom means you will have to be responsible for every act, for every breath; whatever you do or don't do, you will be responsible. Freedom is inseparable from responsibility.
