1) running- the legs push the ground and the ground provides the right amount of friction so that the footballer doesn't slip.
2) dribbling- the ball is rolling and the legs is also using the restricted movement of the ball because of which the footballer uses friction to control the speed of the ball and his own movements.
3) kicking- the angle of contact with the ball and when the momentum is transferred from the leg to the ball, there is friction between the ball and the leg.
