actually they can maintain Thier body temperature according to the environment ..........hope it helps

Amphibians, like reptiles, are ectotherms. This means that they cannot produce sufficient internal heat to maintain a constant body temperature.Like when it's cold outside and they need to warm up, amphibians often bask in the sun to raise their body temperature.
