When we segregate waste, the amount of waste that gets landfilled reduces considerably, resulting in lower levels of air and water pollution. Segregating waste also makes it easier to apply different processes to the waste, like composting, recycling and incineration.

garbage should be segregated as:-

a) it helps in better decomposition of some garbage(like bio-degradable materials)

b) some can be reused and recycled(paper,tin ,glass bottles etc)

c) lesser pollution

d)more space for non- degradable garbage

e)radioactive materials can be separated out and it won't cause harm to the environment .
