The molecules of gases have very less force of attraction between them and hence they move freely in a container. The molecules also have high kinetic energy with which they collide with each other and with the walls of the container.

The molecules which collides with the walls if container exerts pressure on it. It may seem that the pressure exerted will be very small, but it is not only one molecule but there are actually infinite number of them which may exert a high pressure

Explanation:

Gases have high KE due to which particles keeps on moving rapidly as a result particles hits the walls of the container and exert pressure.
