1. While playing cricket the ball comes at you and you need to catch it. You don't just close your eyes and do that. You calculate the next position of the ball with respect to the present position and predict where it will hit the ground.
2. Suppose you go for a swim . You try to estimate the depth of the pool. How do you do that? You estimate the distance from the bottom to the surface of the pool.

In both the above cases you knowingly (which is highly improbable) or unknowingly use the concepts of 3d coordinate geometry.
So there you have geometry in everyday life.
The most important use of geometry is thus to perceive depth.
That's what gives us a 3d view of the world. You might not know 3d coordinate system, but trust me , your brain does and you should be glad about that.
