Map is the representation or a drawing of the earth's surface or a part of it drawn on a flat surface. It gives more information than a globe. A globe can be useful when- we want to study the earth as a whole. But if we want to study only a part of the earth, e.g. a continent or a country, it is of little help.

It is more useful because you cannot see the shape of the earth from a map because a map is flat. That is why you would have to use a globe. Therefore, it is more useful.
A globe shows a more realistic relationship among areas than a map. When a globe is flattened out to form a map, areas have to be filled in towards the top and bottom. This results in larger ocean ares or larger land areas disrupting the true relationship between lands and waters in those areas..Because a globe shows the whole entire world, with an map it only shows lillte parts of the world, and a globe has more details
