Hey..
The process of breaking down of glucose is known as Glycolysis...
In this process the glucose is broken down by respiration which involves the use of Oxygen, this process is exothermic since bonds which are broken exceed the no. of bonds formed... And the energy which in the form of exothermic reaction comes out is used in various metabolic processes like walking, thinking etc...
