Answer:
To understand who created God, we must first understand God. Every culture has a different interpretation of this so-called concept and every answer varies.
God according to Vedas:
In Hinduism there are numerous Gods that are worshiped but according to Vedanta philosophy, the word for God is often related to the word Brahman.
Brahman is a very abstract concept and can only be understood through its visible form i.e Lord Shri Krishna. The best way to understand it is through the Shreemad Bhagavad Gita. It not only gives us an authentic proof of the transcendental nature of God but also about its existence as the Supreme Absolute Truth which is the final stage of God realization.
It is sat-chit-anand or truth, consciousness, bliss. It is just some thing which is there and which beyond the perception of the human mind. It cannot be seen, heard or thought, only experienced.
The scriptures also say that ‘Whatever was there before the creation and whatever remains after destruction of the universe is the God.’
The visible universe which we are able to see from our eyes and imagine in our minds is in fact an illusion. Which is going to get destroyed one day but not the God. It doesn't have a beginning neither has an end.
About the visible God:
The God which we are able to relate to i.e. the one with attributes like Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva, Goddess Laxmi etc. are just subordinates of the Supreme God. i.e the part and parcels of Lord Krishna.
The invisible form is not easy to comprehend hence Lord Krishna says in the Gita that whoever worships him with pure faith and love, he is very dear to him.
The Lord comes to earth and takes various forms at times whenever the balance of good vs evil gets disturbed and will do so for the sake of maintaining harmony.
Lord Krishna says in the 7th shloka of the 4th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita:
Yada yada hi dharmasya glanirbhavati bharata
Abhythanamadharmasya tadatmanam srijamyaham
Paritranaya sadhunang vinashay cha dushkritam
Dharmasangsthapanarthay sambhabami yuge yuge.
Which translates to:
"Whenever virtue subsides and wickedness prevails, I manifest Myself. To establish virtue, to destroy evil, to save the good I come from Yuga (age) to Yuga."
