- Due to the coming of several new methods of printing and especially introduction of paper to the corners of world it resulted in the evolution of the oral section of the society to a reading section
- In Europe too this impact of books were seen
- Primary eductaion was made compulsory in 19th century
- In 1857 children press was set up in France
- One such publishing company was the Grimm Brothers who collected several folk tales and poems and eventually edited them which proven unsuitable for the readers and thus published in 1812
- For women too many penny magazines were started to be written
- Some of the women writer were the Bronte sisters, Jane austen, and George Elliot
- Their writings usually defined the several other dimension of women being a stronger human other than being a mother or wife
