Before the first world war both Nicola and Jacopo were having a cultured and comfortable life . their father was a well known singer who was killed in the war. From that day there home was destroyed and were bought into the streets with their sister suffering from tuberculosis . this way their happy and peaceful life was changed into vagrant and rough living .
