Answer: Under Napoleonic code-

It did away with all privileges based on birth Secured right to  property.

It was exported to areas under french control, such as Dutch republic, Italy, Germany and Switzerland,  Napoleon freed peasants from manorial dues and simplified administrative systems

In towns, guild restrictions were removed and transport and communication systems were simplified

Peasants, artists, workers and new businessmen enjoyed a new freedom and they began t realise that uniform measuring system could facilitate trade.

But the initial enthusiasm soon turned to hostility and it turned out that administrative system and political freedom did not go hand in hand.
