Yes, it's very true that World War I had a devastating impact on full Europe . As the war was mainly fought in Europe so it led to the loss of many lives of common people , Flora and fauna ,etc. And since European powers mainly employed thier full money in war , setting up new ammunition factories , so the money invested in people's benefits and that of food also decreased and food was imported from USA which made USA ultra prosperous. And , it's example can be GERMANY - As germany invested her money in the wars and even fought it on credits so After War , the conditions of Germany became this worse that Youth was found playing cards on the sides of the roads , willing to do any work , And even paying for the place for sleep.
This war really converted EUROPE from CREDITOR to DEBTOR.
