Urbanisation over the past decade has resulted in dried up lakes in Bangalore. Many lakes built by Kempegowda are dried up and are replaced by Bus Stands, Sports stadiums, Sewerage Collection Tanks, Residential Layouts, Industries and illegally established slums.
