how has democracy sustain in India

India was made nation state during British regime and Nehru and Patel decided to strengthen democracy and did it. It was not possible to make feudal country into democratic country.India is a plural nation so our communities .We accommodate all so we have 29 states but our union is strong.We change government when we want but our democracy is polluted due to populism inclusive of freebies, largess. So It is necessary to guide people not to do en mass voting under jingoism for want of more benefits at no cost.New middle class enjoys freedom of expression and judiciary is in place to regulate government.Media is here to monitor government as watch dog.Democracy has roots in India so people know importance of democracy over 67 years. Long live Indian democracy.
