the neutron is discovered by the James Chadwick in 1932
the neutron is having no charge which is present in the nucleus of an atom with the proton
Because of present of proton the nucleus got the positive charge

The discovery of neutron was done by James Chadwick. According to Rutherford model of an atom, he found that when the alpha particles hit the atom (which mass is neglible)
the alpha (positely charged) particles repels.
This postulated the existence of a neutral particle, with the approximate mass of a proton, that could result from the capture of an electron by a proton. This postulation stimulated a search for the particle. However, its electrical neutrality complicated the search because almost all experimental techniques of this period measured charged particles.
