DEMOCRACY : It is a form of government in which citizens have right to choose their representatives and final decision making power resides with those who are elected by the citizens of the country.

Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as: A government By the people, Of the people and For the people.

◾ In India, the constitution is considered as the supreme power of the country. No one can go against it and everyone have to follow all the rules mentioned in it. The Indian constitution contains great laws and values, that promotes democracy.

◾ The judiciary is free from other two institutions. This made the process of making laws more better. This directly strengthen the democracy in the country.

◾ There are some fundamental right granted to every citizen equally. Their violation is a punishable offence. This put some limits on government. So, that it can not do anything unfair.
