You see, long time ago when no one wa inhabited in India, Africans from Ethiopia came over to India and settled in modern day India. Then, people from the Middle East came over and settled in modern day India as well as more people. They mixed together, but not quite, which is why Indians can typically identify if another fellow Indian is from the northern region of India or the southern region of India. All these people coming to India caused the exchange of ideas and a whole mix of cultures. India is currently divided into stated by cultural factors (language). My parents are both from India and speak Hindi, though when visiting my maternal side she speaks in a dialect of Hindia and when visiting my paternal family my dad speaks in a different dialect of Hindi than my mother. In a way, when moving from state to state it’s like you’re visiting a different country. My family has never really been to the southern side of India because different languages are spoken there and it may be hard to navigate! Though we are planing a trip soon!
