how has our constitution sought to implement equality? why is equality needed for all the people?

Our constitution of India had taken major steps in order to bring equality in India...Women in India are encouraged,to improve their living condition so that they can also become self dependent.On the other hand due to many crimes boys or gents were always blamed even when they were innocent so in this case also law have taken major steps to punish the real victim irrespective 
of caste or creed..
