How has the demography of our society change from the 18th century to 21century

There are some major and specific differences in the type of demography of 18th century and 21st century.  

In 18 century, there was no scope of much development in the demography. Some superstition, lack of medical facilities and bad religious practices were prevalent at that time.

In 21st century, there are many rules, regulations and advanced technologies in our society and that leads to a developed demography.
