railways in india is one of the major means of transport. it has bren significantly affected by the physiography. railway network can be seen to be dense in northern plains due to water availability, development of industries, etc. these plains are fertile and hence agriculture is practiced.on the contrary, one can find scattered network of railways in the himalayan region due to cold climate, less development of industries, uneven topography, etc.
