as we know that when population increases the demand for basic need also increases so as the result more need of water as it is a life line. similarly in industries water is used in different places also when urbanization took place people from rural areas migrated to Urban areas and due to this population in urban areas increased and offcource people would need water to live so these factors affected the water balance and as a result it led to scarcity of water.
