More population means increased requirement of resources.
This puts a pressure on natural methods of productions and sources of raw materials.
Gradually more people will need more housing space and ready-made factory products.
All these put pressure on the environment.
Unless there is a form of regulation as to the population growth and its direct consequence on resources, the environment won’t be able to make up for sustained damage.
